The Behemoth is presently the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Canada. It goes up to 70 meters high (230 feet) and speeds reach 125 kilometers (77 miles an hour). The ride lasts a little over 3 minutes with the highest climbs at the start.
There is a 75 degree drop that seems like it’s straight down. If you arrive at Canada’s Wonderland early enough you can hear crowds chanting Bohemoth and racing to be the first on the ride after the gates open.
- Then there’s the Mighty Canadian Minebuster, which some joke should be called mind buster because it feels like it rattles your head around. It’s one of the biggest wooden roller coasters in Canada.
- The Back Lot Stunt Coaster, formerly the Italian Job mimics the chase seen out of the Italian Job movie. There is what appears to be an explosion and you’re briefly taken in the dark while speeding and taking sudden turns. It’s rated a 5 but doesn’t seem as scary as some of the other roller coasters.
- Ghoster coaster, although classified a junior ride is rated a 4 thrill level. They’re rated from 1 to 5 with 1 being the lowest thrill and 5 being the highest. It is a good classic roller coaster for those not ready for the aggressive speeds and heights of the Bohemoth. Ghoster coaster features a Scooby Do theme.
If you want to hit them all you might need two days to do it depending on how busy the park gets. If you arrive early, get in line for your favorite because a couple hours later the waiting time doubles.
